UP Pailaw

sleepy.

if we are to count, my fingers wouldn't suffice the many things i failed to do these past three and a half years in UP. since im spending my last semester, i thought maybe it's time to try out new things, experience what UP life was always meant to be. well tonight, i joined some person's kada to watch a yuletide event called the pailaw. it's a closed-roads affair that concerns the lighting of the facade hall and the whole length of the university avenue. cool.

well, we failed to watch the main spectacle (the lighting itself) pero we caught up with the culminating activity at the university theater. dance troupes recognized by the university performed. there was the up street dance, up pep squad, up filipiniana, etc etc. fun.

hmm. this event is just one of the many things that i could experience before i leave UP. next on my list is the grand oblation run and the lantern parade. ive experienced them before but this time i want to do something unique about it. hmmmm. i dunno. maybe i'll help out in the creation of econ's entry - an impressionism inspired float adorned with giant-sized gifts, candy canes, tinsel, and garlands in it. ooooh.
