Bagsakan Blues

hayy. the stress, it's like a heavy backpack which outweighs you twice.

i went home late today because we had to wait for the bagsakan of the gradpics. it was infuriating because the printer responsible for our pictures wasn't corresponding accordingly. at 12 noon today, we should have received all of the packages, but come 4 o'clock, we were still as empty-handed as yesterday (the day when everything will be delivered according to a signed contract). in the end, hindi pa rin pala madedeliver today yung lahat ng pictures, tomorrow pa. so sayang lang oras ng paghihintay.. the opportunity cost is off the ceiling..

kaka-annoy. parang may kausap na isda, walang nagreregister.

hmmm..

un lang naman. kakastress. buti ayen is treating us for her twentieth birthday on thursday. unwind, unwind, unwind. i can't wait!

Thesis Lullaby

i woke up again, great.
there are days when i wake up of from some dreamy stupor feeling hot and cranky inside. i's usually hit the comfort room, take a shower, and eat something while listening to my favorite lullabies (i.e. coffee and cigarettes, war of hearts and minds...). today is an exception though.. instead of doing my usual insomnia-killing routine, i turn-on my laptop, fix coffee, and read internet abstracts for my undergraduate thesis... on stock market volatility and the day-of-the-week effect.

hehe. nerd.

(but i should force myself to do this. tomorrow is thesis-mania day with my thesis partner fed, so id better be prepared... kelangan bibo.. ;p)

hmmm... *i will follow you into the dark - death cab*

im so proud, i got perfecto in my quiz today in spanish. yehey. you see im taking spanish too, alogside french (to improve my chances of getting a job after grad, ;p). my profe is a bit of a bore though, and she's annoying at times, especially when she starts recounting her endless tales of povedan life. bllllllll... but despite the cumbersome professor, i like the class kasi masaya naman ung mga tao..

tick tock.

bakit feeling ko hindi ako magkaka-asawa...? hay.

ayun lang naman. cge im going back to my thesis na...

Bread Talk

say hello to my dinner! kfc's go-go sandwich and BreadTalk's chocolate croissant and butterdy napalm-looking thingy.. yum~!

BreadTalk, a chain of commercially-oriented "bakeries," captured a huge market so easily because of its boulangerie-type products. everything you find amid the rich and colorful aromas whets your appetite. they're all so delicious: in fondue dip, in sugar frosting, or simply in butter. others are experimental, with cheese and chocolate existing in one wheat bread. which is still good, and everything is big and golden brown... yum yum yum yum yum!

...

my mobile phone is facing it's sunset days. this morning i was waiting for my alarm to ring but it didnt (yes, i was awake before it did, because i had doubts if it would ever alarm by itself...) when i unlocked the keypad, the screen said: "please insert sim card." in my mind i was going "oh shit" cause that was normally how phones tell you that they're gonna die any time soon. so in panic, i immediately grabbed my pc suite connector and backed-up all my files inside the phone: contacts, messages, system tools, etc. etc. i salvaged some photos which i forgot to include in my multiply albums, but oh well... geezers, if my phone really dies the world would crumble down (slightly) because i use my phone a lot.

some of my salvaged photos. this one was supposedly-candid-shot in taal vista.

these two are some of my pacute set of photos shot the first of november, when i was totally bored out by the hundreds of tombstones dotting the floral gardens cemetery in lipa.

hmmm. poor phone. it had been a very trusty one.

but... if it does die, i would have the reason to tell my mum to buy me the new motorazr2 v8 phone by motorola... oooh.... it's very sleek and everything is glass and it's front screen has touch-pad capabilities. and it's a clam phone so it's more sophisticated and better looking. hmmm..

oh well. whatever my phone does to itself has benefits... just like everything...

Trinoma Trip

the reg period at UP can be a bit boring. as a member of my organization's registration team, i see the students of econ simply come and go. it's all routine. i get their form5's, countersign their names on the master list, collect 24 pesos for the school paper fund, stamp their form5's with the sidhi seal, and pass their form5's to the council members who will finish the process with their counterpart set of protocols. very very routine. i could do it in my sleep. haha. doing this kind of process the whole day makes you go awry due to boredom. so me and my friends decided to take the night off, so we could unwind.

high school friends and me went to trinoma for some shawarma lovin. hihi.

after trinoma, we went to the ice cream store to buy really cheap but good cupped ice cream. then off to len's crib to watch a movie (lady in the water, which is almost scary but not quite). after that we all got hungry and went to mcdo katipunan which is thankfully open 24 hours. while eating our french fries and chicken fillets, we launched into some intimate conversations, where we made sense of each others' ideals and disposition towards things 20 year-old people should know. it was great. i love my high school classmates because they are all so understanding.

next time we'll play the "never-have-i-ever" game para finally we can update ourselves with each others' goings-on. masaya un... i cant wait.

Mile High

weee!

to "celebrate" the day of the souls, my family went to tagaytay to visit the famous pink sisters' church. my mum and titas were all excited by their "pilgrimage", but i was more interested on the nice weather, good food, and famous coffee. hehe. we went to carlo's pizzeria, where delicious parmesan-topped seafood pasta and meaty thin-crust pizzas are served. yum! the views at mile high is astonishing; you can see the mouth of the taal volcano from the restaurant terrace.

we went to the famous taal vista hotel, and man, the coffee is terrific. i got a cafe mocca fix which sounds pretty normal, except it has raspberry purree and liquor at the bottom, and rich cream and bailey's on top. delicious! the taste and aroma just fills you in. i wanna go back.

thanks ate jenny for the photos!

Mall-Hopping Friends

the sembreak is drawing to an end. like the usual sembreaks, i come to Quezon City 2 days early for the registration to avoid the inevitable traffic.

and like the usual sembreaks, i spent a day of it goofing around with my bestest buddies aizel and danazart. fun! first darryl treated us in tokyo tokyo since it was his birthday, then we did some mall-hopping, window-shopping, and a lot of eating. it was so fun!

while waiting for our muffins to arrive, darryl is trying to reconstruct a collapsible cube (which is excruciatingly mentally challenging... hehe ;p).

so nice to have them around. i can goof around whenever and however i want. they dont seem to mind if im the silliest person in their midst. or maybe they just plainly dont notice. ;p
